THE BIRTHPLACE OF FRYDERYK CHOPIN AND PARK IN ŻELAZOWA WOLA
Żelazowa Wola 15, 96-503 Sochaczew
PIANO PRESENTATION - a story about the instrument's development over the centuries at Chopin's Birthplace

Admission: PLN 8.80 / person
35 seats

In the manor house in Żelazowa Wola, the birthplace of Fryderyk Chopin, the sound of the piano takes on a unique significance. Pianist Aleksandra Bobrowska invites you to a short meeting during which she will discuss the fascinating evolution of the piano – from its early forms, through the subtle and intimate sounds of the 19th century, to the full potential of dynamic contemporary instruments.

Two extraordinary pianos will be performed during the meeting:
– an 1838 Erard, with a warm, melodious tone characteristic of the Romantic era,
– a Steinway & Sons, a contemporary instrument with a wide palette of colors and a powerful sound.

This unique combination of story, sound, and history will allow you to hear how the sound of the piano has evolved – and with it, the way composers expressed emotions and created their musical worlds. Each piece will become the starting point for a short reflection on how the development of the instrument opened up new spaces of expression for artists – from the delicate nuances of Romanticism to the monumental sounds of the 20th century.
